OUR BIO
Built around the hobby and its community.
Commonwealth Cards was built on a simple idea: create the kind of card shop we would want to spend time in ourselves. We're two lifelong collectors brought together by a shared passion for the hobby and a belief that collecting is about so much more than the cards themselves. Whether your passion is Sports cards, Pokémon, Disney, Star Wars, Magic: The Gathering, or other trading card games, we want Commonwealth Cards to be a place where everyone feels welcome.
Neal has been buying, selling, and collecting cards professionally since 2022. After successfully operating a card shop in Las Vegas, he made the decision to return to the East Coast and partner with Brad to build something special here in Northern Virginia. For Neal, it's both an exciting new chapter and a return home.
Brad has called this area home for nearly 20 years while building a successful government contracting business. His deep roots in the community, combined with his lifelong love of collecting, make him the perfect partner in bringing Commonwealth Cards to life.
Together, we bring different backgrounds but the same vision: a shop built on honesty, knowledge, and genuine relationships. We believe every collector deserves to be treated with respect—whether you're buying your first pack, chasing a grail card, submitting cards for grading, trading with friends, or adding the next centerpiece to your collection.
Our goal is to create more than just a retail store. We want Commonwealth Cards to become a community hub where collectors can gather, learn, trade, rip packs, attend events, and share their passion with others. From weekly trade nights and family-friendly events to helping collectors complete sets or find that one elusive card, we're committed to making every visit worthwhile.
